Rachel Alena’s voice has been heard on hundreds of commercials, tutorials, eLearning and narratives for clients such as Disney, T-Mobile, Procter and Gamble, Harvard University and Dupont to name a few. Rachel has been the regular female voice for the Daytona Online News Journal. She is also an audiobook narrator.
Rachel began her VO career in Los Angeles when she was in her early twenties. At the age of 15 she recorded her first “work for hire” job as a session singer for a children’s album.
Being a session singer for copywriters meant she spent a lot of time behind the microphone. At one of the sessions, the engineer asked if she could speak as well as she could sing. He handed her a script and she did her first narrative recording. Rachel loved it and thus began a career of voice work!
Rachel is a graduate, with a degree in voice and minor in keyboards, for the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. She is the lead singer/ songwriter for the popular blues/rock with a funky vibe band, ‘Rachel and the Ruckus.’ She is also a for hire songwriter, most recently writing songs for the children’s ‘Dino Buddies’ animation series.
Rachel and her husband Jason live outside of Boulder, Colorado with their two teenage boys.
